This situation has brought very prominent problems: on the one hand, it is very difficult and blind for the downstream industries of flake graphite to choose graphite raw materials suitable for their own products. Enterprises need to spend a lot of time to identify and trial-produce flake graphite raw materials with the same label but different properties from major graphite producing areas in China, which wastes a lot of time and energy. On the other hand, the upstream enterprises of flake graphite lack the understanding of the demand of downstream enterprises for raw materials, which leads to the single classification and homogenization of products. For example, Alashan League in Inner Mongolia and Jixi in Heilongjiang are both large-scale graphite, which are suitable for preparing expandable graphite.
